DML technologies allow creation of rock property volumes. This
page shows slices in 3 axes from a Permittivity Volume created
for an area covering the Houston Metroplex, from Sealy to the
San Jacinto Monument and from South 610 to The Woodlands.
|
Permittivity In-Line Sections
These Permittivity Volumes can be created anyplace onshore U.S.
or Canada out to about 300 foot (100 meter) waterdepths.
The surveys can be interpolated so they are at the same line and
trace and vertical spacing as other geophysical surveys (LIDAR,
aeromagnetics, gravity, 2-D seismic grids, or 3-D seismic surveys.
Horizontal sampling accuracy is about 150 feet (50 meters).
|
Permittivity Cross-Line Sections
These volumes can be sliced in-line,
cross-line, or horizontally as shown in
these examples. They can also be used to
make cube or other arbitrary line displays
to enhance geological understanding. This
is a powerful way to evaluate new areas.
