KB (Knowledge Backbone) is not a search engine but an index representing the decomposition of an activity model. It is useful in understanding the context of a document in relation to other documents and the overall view of an activity. The knowledge backbone can also be considered to be a document framework.

When KB is implemented, each webpage will have a unique structural view of associated business activities. Similar to "Select a Topic", you can go to selected business activities.
