Dear friends and family,
My mother went into surgery at approximately 1:00 PM today. The surgery lasted until 8:00 this evening. She will be in the ICU until Wednesday the 8th where she will then stay in an outpatient room for 10 days at which time she will be permitted to leave. Some of us will be leaving to visit her. My sister and I will make a one day trip up and back by car on Thursday. I will hopefully be spending a few more days with her next week before she comes home.
Please keep her in your prayers both personal and family, and please keep my father in your prayers. I think he is the one who needs most of the strength to deal with this. He is precious to our hearts as is my mother.
Once again thank you for all the words of love and confidence. They are greatly appreciated. It's great to have those who care enough to convey their thoughts and emotions. Just remember to "pick up your handcarts and move west" Regardless of our trials and tribulations the Lord knows and Loves each and everyone of us by name. He knows our hearts, our strengths and weeknesses. He will not give us any trial we cannot endure. I love each and everyone of you and would admonish that you hold true to the gospel and it's teachings. There is so much to learn from life if we but take just one moment to "Smell the roses" Take a break from the rush of the world and remember why it is that we arise each morning. It is so we can prepare to meet our savior and feel of his loving spirit. We are greatly blessed to be in this world and not of it. Remember that.
Best Regards,
Nathan Pace
