It has been interesting following your saga over the last few months. We have read with joy and/or sadness many of the events that have transpired. We have at times felt an urgency to lend a thought or two of advice. However, it is said " old men are fond of giving good advice, to console them selves for being no longer in position to give bad examples" and "many receive good advice only the wise profit from it". We have talked at length many time and I am sure you know the advice that is in our hearts. We share with you the joys of a boy on a mission, and know the love and binding effect it has on the family, immediate and extended. We also share the challenges faced with the difficult dicisions faced with responsibilites of careing for aging parents. Do what you your heart tells you, and pay little attention to those that unthinkingly critique from the sideline. Remember this is as good as life gets. Enjoy each day- make them DAYTIGHT- forget yesterday and tomorrow will get along fine. We are doing fine and have a suitcase full of stories. I am afraid we will be a terrible bore when we get home. We will leave Pakistan in May and will have to admit to being alittle trunky. It will be nice to see you all again. Lloyd

Uncle Lloyd,
Thanks for the note. I wish you would share 'a thought or two of advice,' but then you did: 'Do what you your heart tells you, and pay little attention to those that unthinkingly critique from the sideline. Remember this is as good as life gets. Enjoy each day- make them DAYTIGHT- forget yesterday and tomorrow will get along fine.' Marti e-mailed me this morning that the divorce decree is being finalized this week. I have a hard time believing this is as good as life gets. But I am trying to keep a stiff upper lip. What part of May do you return and when will your homecome talks be. I am planning in bringing as many as will out to Utah the end of May or early June to go on a rafting trip and would like to tie it to your homecoming talks. Also want to do Dad's temple work, and would appreciate if you could be there with me. Thanks for caring.
Best Regards and Love,
Roice
