The Class of 68 web page is really nice. If you'd like, you can correct my address to 162 We 1820 No Orem, Utah. Telephone number (801) 224-2163. I moved to Orem in 1976, don't know why it never got changed, many people know.
I won't be at the reunion this year. My work schedule won't allow it. I only have 6 weeks of vacation (which is not nearly enough!) but I use it for Christmas, Thanksgiving and of course all the painting seminars I go to. It's tough getting off in the middle of the week anyway. It seems like I've always worked. Ann Holmes and Carolyn Anderson talked me into applying at Mountain Bell the winter 1970, they had had summer jobs there. I did and 33 years later I still work here! I transfered to Provo, Utah in 1976 and I am a "Central Office Technician", working on the digital telephone switches, fiberoptic mutiplexers, transport equipment and just plain old telephone service. I work in all of the offices in Utah County, trouble shooting, wiring ciruits, and fixing things that break! (I work 4-12 pm 3 days a week so I can watch my two year old Grandson, that is the most awesome job!!!)
I was at the last reunion and was amazed to see everyone and where life has led them. The circles I've been in were not the circles I thought I'd been in. It was an intresting realization.
It would also be hard to be at the reunion without Marsha Chamberlain (Bulloch). We were such good friends and it would never be the same. I've found with her death that life is cruel too. She surely did not want to die so young, she has three darling little granddaughters she just insisted she was going to see grow up (I'm sure she will, but from a different vantage point). Having pancreatic cancer is not a pretty way to go. I saw Marsha the day before her passing, it was so sad to see. She was always such a beauty.
Hope I haven't rambled on too long. Have a great time at the reunion, tell everyone Hi for me. (See if anyone still remembers me). Keep the page up it's fun to look at. I may even contact a few of the kids that live near me.
Maybe next time I can be there.
