CHARLES J. GIVENS ORGANIZATION (June 1990 - June 1994)
With
gross annual sales of 200 million dollars, it's the country's largest,
lecture-driven financial education and services organization. Held
three positions during my tenure:
- Director of Marketing, National Lecture Division: May
1993-June 1994; Responsible for budgeting, ad agency coordination,
creative and database development, research and marketing results
analysis, media coordination of television infomercials and spots,
radio, newspaper, direct marketing, and magalogs.
- Director of Marketing, Financial Services Division: December
1991-May1993; Developed marketing methods. Introduced new membership
programs. Responsible for: product development (Money Strategies,
Success Talk, Credit Power Strategies, Wealth Without Risk Newsletter),
project management, lead generation (card decks, radio, TV), database
development, and joint ventures. Managed the marketing of various lead
databases with list brokers. At Mr. Given's request, developed a
similar position at the National Sales Division.
- General Manager, WTIX -690 AM New Orleans: June 1990-December 1991;
Renovated seriously depressed radio station. Responsible for
facilities, personnel, budgeting, sales, format, promotions and
marketing. Reduced losses and improved financial condition.
Successfully sold station.
