values paradoxes

From a scientific standpoint there are all kinds of issues with these numbers. After about six months of counting swallows, I stopped counting and started estimating. There are obvious differences in volume between big swallows and small swallows. My response is these differences are relative, the key is to be consistent in how the counting is done, then the differences between big and small swallows is averaged out over time. The weight of 25 swallows of lettuce is obviously different from the weight of 25 swallows of steak. More importantly, there are significant differences in calories between and within the chosen classifications. Assigning 4 swallows of sugar and 8 of water for a diet caffeinated drink, and 3 swallows of sugar and 9 swallows of water for a diet caffeine free drink is arbitrary and not necessarily close to correct. Top this off with the fact consistency drifts over time. However, do you, the reader, have a better estimate for how you are acting on the biological system on earth over your life time? Maybe some of you will, now that you have been challenged.

In addition to our roots, our education impacts how open minded we are. Regarding our views on biological systems, our scientific education dominates.

However, remember reading in the Bible about when the Apostle Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said:
"Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an alter with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshiped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation." Acts 17:22-26

It is a tenet of most theologies that all life was created by God. Modern society accepts all nations of men are related, or "of one blood." It is not much of a stretch for religions to accept that all life, simply as defined by being composed of DNA and RNA, is related to the creator of life.
