This brief review of life on planet earth is not meant to be inclusive. It is meant to fill our minds with total wonder concerning
the miracles associated with the diversity and extent of life. Even ignoring the improbability (impossibility) of amino acids and proteins occurring by chance, just think of the improbability (impossibility) of the diversity and the beauty of all of these varieties of life occurring by chance. I can not imagine this
happening without thought and guidance from God. We have the testimony of the holy prophets, the testimony of the scriptures, the testimony of millions of human beings who have experienced God in their own life, and, in very fact, all things denote there is a God. The existence of life, the variety of life, the continuity of life, the beauty of life, the joy of life all shout to the heavens there is a God who took an eternity(Psalms 90:1-5 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling
place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.) to think through the inputs and the outputs, the nutrients and the wastes, the births and deaths, as well as the life processes and the interactions of and between all life forms. If there are no simple silicon calculators which formed by chance in the sands of time, there are certainly no complex life forms which formed by accident on the third rock from the sun. Just look at the map of tree cover for North America, or the Enhanced Vegetation Index posted on the web on September 17th2003 (see Figures 59a and 59b respectively), and contemplate how this possibly could have realistically occurred outside of the realm of thought and purposeful design. Those who teach there is no God deny all of these testimonies that God exists.
The existence of these misguided individuals introduces another paradox: where we find God, we also find evil.27
If there were not an opposition in all things, then righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad.3.231 Where there are those who are devoted to God, there is usually evil to hijack their devotion. In the west our freedoms are hijacked by the movies and the debauchery, the drugs and addictions, the sensual and the temporary. In Islam, devotion to God is hijacked by the terrorists, by the suicide bombers, by the
Mullah's who take away freedom in the name of religion, and by the religious leaders who denounce the west as evil to justify true deep and lasting evil.
