When we consider how far mankind has come since the first archaeological evidence of written language it is even more amazing. When we juxtapose this progress with the geological things we act on, and consider their age and the intricate manner in which all of the parts interrelate it is beyond astonishing. Given the continued and accelerating growth in knowledge which has occurred over just the last 200 years, and given a universe perfectly tuned for life, it is amazing how few scientists accept the possibility the power of the human mind is the result of a reasoning entity.
In my mind, the probability all of these physics, chemistry, and geological interactions created this earth, fine tuned as it is for life, is an accidental event is an absolute impossibility. My conclusion from studying the wonders of geology is God, or more affectionately Father in Heaven, controls the only space-time continuum humanity will ever experience. Like the difference between a structural geologist who claims the matrix is the stress-strain relationship of individual grains of rock, and the drilling engineer who claims the matrix is the fluid filling up the pore spaces between the individual grains of rock, we as individuals need to decide whether we want to study the framework (religion) or the cell content (science), or how the two interact (science and religion).
This choice of whether to study the matrix framework, the content of the matrix, or the interaction between the framework and the content is relatively easy to make with rocks. After all we can pick them up, handle them, measure their properties, and model their characteristics and how they arrived where we found them. It rapidly gets very complicated when we study the other things to act on, things biological, things which are born, things which live, things which grow and produce, things which move and interact, and things which die.
