Hi.  Hope all of you are flying the great American flag this weekend!  I fly mine almost every day at home but did not feel that I should bring it with me on my mission and really miss not being able to show how patriotic I am.

 

We had excellent attendance last month by all of you stake personnel but we always are really short on the ward employment specialists.  In the "chain of command" our office is to receive and give information to those who hold stake callings and it is the Stake Employment Specialists' responsibility to notify and encourage the ward employment specialists.  I trust you are doing that and wonder if they feel it is a place to go when you are first called for an orientation or if we are not covering the concerns they have as WES people.  Could you give us any help on this?

 

When Bennie Lillie came a few weeks ago, he asked us to be in touch with you every week.  I have dragged my feet on this because I realize that you are very busy and I don't want to become a "pest".  I feel that this e-mail is this week's contact, the monthly meeting is that week's contact and I will try to call you the other two weeks.  If you have any preference times, prefer I call you at work or prefer a home call, etc., please let me know.  I would also consider e-mail every week if you prefer.  The idea is to share successes, concerns, and other information.

 

The monthly meeting for July will be here in the Employment Center on July 8, one week from today.  SES and Stake High Councilmen over employment are invited to a 6:30 p.m. meeting and the WES people are to come at 7:00.  However, if rides need to be combined, they are welcome to come early and visit with Sister Spuhler and myself and any other WES people who are here waiting also.  It may work out to be a very fruitful time to get to know one another and see how others are doing with their callings.  Best regards, Sister Growcock
