Role Model.

. . .

Welcome to "the engines of my love," a regular review of why I love you, Martha Ellyn Sharp Nelson, and no other woman.

I love you because you were my motivation to get involved in PAIRS, and PAIRS is helping me realize how complex we are as individuals. As an example, there was an exercise last Monday to write down our role models, with descriptive adjectives and remarks. My notes on my role models, as I defined them in a working session, are included below for your amusement.

This Monday's PAIRS class is a Role Model Party. One single lady and one couple were assigned to contact other members of the class and to have them play the role of their heros, ideals, icons, or whatever you call them. I am going to be Santa Clause for the single girl, and Beethoven for the married man. As I think of all of the times we played Charades, I wish you were going to be with me. You have always been the life of the party, something I envied and lived vicariously through you. I am interested to know your reaction to my selection of Role Models, and like all of these Lovelets am not anticipating or expecting a response. They are sent with the hope you can learn more about me, I can express things I have learned about you and our relationship, and, frankly, my dear, because I do still give a damn and because I love you.

I'm interested in sharing why I love you. I know how important the written word is to you, and if you ever feel neglected, ignored, or unloved, and would like an up-to-date bound copy of these lovelets or any subset of these lovelets for any purpose you might have come to mind, please tell me or e-mail your request to rnelson@walden3d.com with the request 'lovelet update.'

With all my love,
Roice
