INTRODUCTION
Dynamic Resources Corporation is a Texas "C" Corporation formed 16 January of 2001 and publically introduced at APPEX (AAPG Prospect & Properties Expo) in Houston, TX on August 27-29th, 2001.
Dynamic currently has one shareholder, H. Roice Nelson, Jr., and he is the employee. At year-end 2000, based on experience as the initial founder of Landmark Graphics Corporation and other state-of-the-art technology companies, Roice recognized interpretation tools have become commodities, and future key oil & gas business opportunities are tied to using tools rather than building tools. Starting with reputation and industry contacts, Roice has spent the last two years laying the foundation to allow Dynamic to participate in helping the oil industry to reinvent itself around information technologies.
Dynamic Resources is a virtual oil company taking advantage of state-of-the-art data mining and pattern finding technologies. Dynamic's focus is to enter into AMI (Area-of-Mutual-Interest) Agreements, where Dynamic can earn an ORRI (Overriding Royalty Interest) or Production Bonus based on exploration or production enhancement success. In the building phase of Dynamic this work has largely been through Roice's interpretation consulting. Dynamic's approach is to integrate a NetWork of proven professionals, who have worked together on proven projects in the past, using the following process:

Dynamic participated in the following projects since being founded in 2001:
- II&T's (Interactive Interpretation & Training) BP (British Petroleum) Virtual Prospect Project 1: All 7 generated prospects were purchased by BP. The shallow prospects (20-50 BCF each) are available for farm-in. The deeper 1 TCF prospect is beneath existing production.
- II&T's BP Virtual Prospect Project 2: 3 prospects (0.5-1.0 TCF) available for sale through II&T (BP is cutting back operations on the Texas shelf).
- Resource Technologies 2-D AVO work offshore Texas by a client, resulting in 4 Prospects (200-400 BCF) and winning of 5 lease blocks offshore Texas. Due to bigger exploration opportunities in Louisiana, these lease blocks are available for 100% farm-in in exchange for reimbursement for leases, rentals, and fees (about US$1.0M), a drilling program commitment, and 15% back-in after project payout.
- Richard Nehring's Concept 1, Abandoned Fields Offshore Texas, which resulted in 97 maps providing a regional context of basic engineering, basic physics, and basic geology for the Texas Shelf; identification and ranking of 146 high potential blocks on the Texas Shelf; and ORRI Agreements for three prospects (1-20 BCF), each on a separate block which is available for farm-in.
- Chroma Energy's Natchez River West Prospect (48 BCFG and 1.1 MMBC from 3 reservoirs) in the Planulina 3 through Planulina 16 sands in Iberia Parish, Lousiana.
- Interpreted eight 3-D surveys and three 2-D surveys for Nigerian indigenous oil companies allowing them to bid on eleven Marginal Fields. Four of the five companies Roice worked for won their bids, and they are currently preparing packages to finance production. The first package is a $25 million farm-in, with two wells 3 1/2 miles apart probably producing from the same sand.
- Interpreted 3-D and regional 2-D seismic data for Emerald Energy Resources Ltd. on the edges of and across their 340,000 acre OPL-229 block on the coast of Nigeria. Roice confirmed or defined 11 structural (2.1 BBOE risked) and 3 stratigraphic (36,000+ acres) prospects. The first two proposed drilling locations (5,000+ acres closure each) have been selected, and numerous presentations have been given to potential farm-in partners.
- With Swede Nelson (no relation and retired President of Chevron Overseas), Roice laid the groundwork for a joint venture with a Chinese service company. Dynamic anticipates this JV will result in Dynamic's participation in several world-class exploration and production projects.
- Dynamic has identified many viable AMI opportunities for new exploration Concepts, Leads, and drillable Prospects in North America (51), South America (4), Africa (23), Europe (2), the Middle-East (2), and the Far-East (2) since January of 2001.
In addition, Dynamic has developed several TMIs (Technologies-of-Mutual-Interest) to enhance AMI activities. These TMIs are available for license or sale in exchange for an opportunity to participate in market success. They include:
- The Knowledge BackboneSM, an activity index, process model, or check-list, a subset of which a subset of which is illustrated by clicking on the top blue bar of Roice's web pages, or going to http://www.walden3d.com/knowledge_backboneSM.
- The Infinite GridSM, an area based GIS (Geographical Information System) and a spatial index, illustrated by clicking on the bottom blue bar on Roice's web pages, or going to http://www.walden3d.com/ig/details/s01.html.
- The TimedexSM, a temporal index and interval extension of the Infinite GridSM enabling project and geologic time indexing.
- The Geologic AtlasSM, a geologic index, illustrated by Ward Abbott's Proposed On-Line Atlas.
- A Best Practice documentation process, as shown for Real-Time Drilling.
- Data Mining and Pattern Finding Tools, including taking advantage of SpotFire Software Tools.
- Access to Landmark Graphics geophysical software (Roice has two lifetime licenses), GeoQuest software (II&T has 10 licenses), and SMT (Seismic Micro-Technology) software (Sam LeRoy at EarthView Associates has 2 licenses).
- PC (Personal Computer) based VR (Virtual Reality) displays of project results through a NASA contractor Roice has worked with for 14 years.
- And other TMIs, available for detailed review upon execution of an appropriate confidentiality agreement.
In order to grow the number of AMI and TMI projects undertaken, Dynamic is re-establishing and expanding a network of geoscientists which was started in 1994 by Roice and several friends. The NetWork is based on the following facts:
- "Nobody is as smart as everybody" Thomas Petzinger in The New Pioneers
- "Oil is first found in the mind" Wallace Pratt in Geophysics, and
- "Imagine how many hydrocarbons can be found using a creative and collaborative NetWork of Minds!" H. Roice Nelson, Jr. The Leading Edge (July 2003).
Dynamic enables collaboration, which stimulates creative juices and opens minds. Collaboration spontaneously occurs when people trust each other, when there are interesting projects to work on together which cover financial needs, and when there is a shared upside potential to meet wants. Trust comes from working together and understanding how one reacts both to success and to the stress of failure. Working together (cohesion) instead of against other team members (tension) is key in order to enable collaboration. Collaboration is enhanced by coupling different multidisciplinary teams using information sharing technologies. Information maps of skills and experience of members of The NetWork allow Dynamic to pull together competent agile virtual teams to attack complex problems.
The two spatial resumes for North America shown below illustrate this information mapping process by presenting spatial resumes for two members of The NetWork. These are effectively separate worksheets in a common spread-sheet, and by searching for entries in specific cells (locations) across all such worksheets, Dynamic instantly maps experience and correlates this experience with geology, trends, fields, etc. Dynamic envisions a browser-based framework allowing thousands of professionals to personally map their exploration and production skills. Given this database, Dynamic will be able to optimize participation in collaborative AMI Projects and enhance AMI Project results.
