[552] | Written and sealed up, and hid up unto the Lord, that they might not be destroyed. |
[553] | also to the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that JESUS is the CHRIST, the ETERNAL GOD, manifesting himself unto all nations, |
[002] | he saw one descending out of the midst of heaven |
[004] | behold, an angel of the Lord came and stood before them, and
he spake unto them, |
[008] | ye have forgotten that ye have seen an angel of the Lord? |
[011] | the Son of God was the Messiah |
[013a] | I beheld wars, and rumors of wars, and great slaughters with the sword among my people . . . I saw the earth and the rocks, that they rent; and I saw mountains tumbling into pieces; and I saw the plains of the earth, that they were broken up |
[013b] | I will bring forth unto them, in mine own power, much of my gospel, which shall be plain and precious |
[013c] | the wrath of God was poured out upon that great and abominable church, insomuch that there were wars and rumors of wars among all the nations and kindreds of the earth |
[014] | pointing to the covenant which should be fulfilled in the latter days; which covenant the Lord made to our father Abraham |
[016b] | I did obtain food |
[017a] | we did sojourn for the space of many years . . . eight years in the wilderness |
[017b] | we have wandered in the wilderness for these many years . . . our women have toiled, being big with child |
[018] | after they had crossed the river Jordan |
[019] | the day must surely come that they must be destroyed |
[021] | they scourge him, and he suffereth it; they smite him, and he suffereth it . . . they spit upon him, and he suffereth it |
[022] | those who are at Jerusalem . . . they shall be scourged by all people |
[023] | They are created now . . . I have refined thee, I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction |
[024] | Thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people; and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders |
[025] | the Holy One of Israel must reign in dominion, and might, and power, and great glory . . . he numbereth his sheep, and they know him |
[026] | we have obtained a land of promise, a land which the Lord God hath covenanted with me should be a land for the inheritance of my seed |
[027] | arise from the dust, my sons, and be men, be determined in one mind and in one heart, united in all things . . . Awake, my sons; put on the armor of righteousness. Shake off the chains with which ye are bound, and come forth out of obscurity, and arise from the dust |
[029] | thou art redeemed, because of the righteousness of thy Redeemer |
[030] | redemption cometh in and through the Holy Messiah . . . he is full of grace and truth |
