This is a map of the entire 3-D seismic survey showing an seismic energy attribute named NRG extracted at the Top Mississippian horizon. The interesting thing about this attribute is it appears to create production halos or dim spots where gas has been produced. Look at the location of many of the produced wells (green), and there is a light colored halo around these wells. In the southwest corner of the survey there is a very bright response, which is interpreted as gas in the rubble beds, which are debris deposits washed off of the pinacle reefs. One of the most exciting aspects of my career is I was the only geophysicist at Landmark for the first several years. This meant I was called on to look at all of the customers toughtest problems all across the globe. It has been a wonderful experience to invent ways to interpret data to tie to well control, and to work with new attributes like NRG. (Shackelford structure map and cross-sections)
