  • 1 Cabin in late 1800's, no one lived here last 100 years.

Transportation:

  • Dirt Road access by water tower
  • Nice Hiking Trail up Cedar Canyon
  • Drive up Cedar Canyon, and park across from the cove, access by hiking bridge

Economic Data:

  • Property sold for $40,000 a few years ago
  • Current asking price $200,000 - $250,000

Physical Structure and Infrastructure:

  • None in December 2005

Energy and Utilities:

  • Was a coal powered power plant at the base of Red Cove for most of the 1900's
  • Expect most economic power is solar power with dynamic solar mirrors on the top of the mountain on east side of the property (these mirrors could also be used as a dynamaically positioned telescope at night)
  • possible thermal chimney on BLM property to the south
  • Cedar City Water Supply runs through north edge of property
  • Rights to drill a well included with purchase of property
  • Condensation Water Generation possible on higher parts of property

  • Cedar City within 1 mile of property.
  • Currently part of County, and so County Services available

Health Data:

  • Medical Facilities are close

Natural Environment:

  • Foothills, comprised mostly of soft Jurrassic sandstone
